Paper published

Alba's paper is now published in Angewandte Chemie. Congratulations to Alba and all co-authors!

The paper shows how it is possible to use controlled-radical polymerization to control phase separation. Alba and co-authors used atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) to induce and arrest phase separation in a solid matrix. They obtained durable, highly correlated inclusions with very low size dispersity. They were also able to tune the length scale in the material by modifying the synthesis parameters. This is the first time that ATRP has been applied to the synthesis of homopolymeric nano- and micro-structured materials!
