Stefanie and co-authors propose a new approach for the measurement of the surface elastic constants of soft solids, in their new paper recently published on "Journal of the Mechanics and Physics of Solids".
In their work, the authors exploit phase separated systems of liquid droplets embedded in soft solids to robustly quantify surface elastic constants in the small deformation regime. You can find more information about the article at the link below.
